Job Responsibilities
Your specific duties as a Utility Design Engineering Technologist will include:

• Job Title: Utility Design Engineering Technologist
• Location: Charlotte, NC 28202
• Pay Rate: $45.00 per hour
• Responsible for creating preliminary and final design layouts and estimates for electrical infrastructure serving single family, multi-family residential developments and commercial projects
• Provides designs that adhere to relevant safety, environmental, and engineering guidelines
• Coordinates with field engineering, customer liaisons, system planning, GIS lighting, and construction departments to ensure that projects are cost effective and completed on time
• Supports positive customer experiences through timely completion of design request
• Utilizes integrated assets automation portfolio including design tools, work management systems, and GIS applications

Job Requirements

• 6+ years of relevant utility industry experience
• Experience with computer-based graphical design software such as MicroStation
• Experience using ADDS and SEDS design tool programs
