Your specific duties as a Lifecycle Business - Senior Business Development will include:

- Salary Range: $138,200.00 - $172,700.00, based on experience.

American COMPANY's Sustainability & Business Development (SBD) business unit (BU) is tasked with navigating the business and technology application path for COMPANY's future renewable energy, resource circulation and innovative business initiative products, services, and businesses. - The Circular Solutions division is focused on establishing new sources of revenue and profit through the pursuit of innovative new business opportunities including and beyond our core auto business, and through partnerships and alliances, we will foster entrepreneurial spirit and develop associates to prepare the company for the future.
- The Lifecycle Business Senior Business Development Lead will be responsible and accountable to lead, create and develop business development themes focused on real-world implementation that will establish a product lifecycle business that will be the foundation of solutions that will lead to a long-lasting relationship with customers. From identifying customers' needs to designing proof-of-concept business propositions and validating the success in todays and future product value stream, this individual will drive to find solutions that will change and/or strengthen American COMPANY's lifecycle business activities. Lifecycle business opportunities lie not only at the time of the purchase of a new car, but the entire lifecycle of the vehicle, including to the time the car is scrapped and recycled.
- This individual will require deep, practical and hands-on understanding of the automotive business and automotive product & technology with an eye to future advances that can be incorporated into COMPANY's vehicle offerings to add value over the entire vehicle lifecycle. This role will evaluate business viability and profitability and create a vision and roadmap to address customer and product needs based on technologies and solutions. This senior role will lead the validation of business development themes or hypotheses to achieve the desired outcomes and recommend next steps to leadership.
- Lead strategic plan development:
- Identify, create and propose business development themes aligned with mid-term and long-term business strategy for Circular Solutions. This includes but not limited to clearly identifying the unique added-value COMPANY can bring to the market and value chain.
- Successfully obtain approvals of business development themes from executive management meeting fiscal year requirements
- Clarify business development theme strategies to multiple business development teams for simple, actionable implementation plans
- Identify required resources and stakeholders for preparation and execution of proof-of-concept to validate business success.
- Set and pursue measurable plans, targets and KPI to clearly validate the business development themes.
- Utilizing the understanding of business development themes, market environment, and COMPANY capabilities, lead the creation of technology implementations to support business success.
- Lead strategic plan implementation & Team Management:
- Regularly evaluate progress of all business development themes are consistently progressing towards identified goals and strategy. Direct, mentor, motive and advise project themes for critical thinking for implementation success.
- Executive and Stakeholder Reporting:
- Reports status of business development themes and leads project evaluations to stakeholders including technology roadmaps, lessons learned and hypothesis updates. Analyzes trends, understands applicability and impact to COMPANY, summarizes and presents key learnings, and recommends next steps
Job Requirements
- Proven track record of executive/senior leadership roles to drive business success
- 10+ years of business program development
- 10+ years of automotive or consumer technology planning or development
- 10+ years of automotive customer or consumer technology customer facing solutions program management or development
- 7+ years of creating and introducing new business programs to market
- COMPANY or automotive industry specific knowledge across all product lines
- MBA from accredited university and/or program
- Desired skills:
- Executive/senior leadership skills to drive business success
- Strong hands-on technical expertise and track record of successful projects
- Strong industry knowledge of hardware, software and wireless communication technologies and their practical applications.
- Ability to think big picture and out of the box
- Strong proficiency with MS office is required, especially PowerPoint and excel
- Strong presenter and confident interacting with all levels of management
- Excellent teamwork skills for both North American and global offices and associates
- Driver's license required and ability to operate a diverse assortment of automobiles. Proficiency with manual transmission preferred but not required
- Function as a business owner/ product owner/lpl/or person-in-charge of business development project
- Working Conditions:

- 45% Project-related documentation including proposal or business concept for business success
- 45% Meetings at all levels
- 10% non-project related business activities as assigned
- Business travel required as assigned
