Production Supervisor (Automotive Plant / 2 Rotation Shifts)
Min 6 -12 Months Contract (Contract / On-Going Needs)
Ingersoll, Ontario
Hourly pay range $30-$40/hour - Depending on years of work experience.
- Guaranteed min 40 hours in a week
- Over time is available on every hour after 44 hours in a week at 1.5 times the regular hourly rate
- This is a contract, so there are no benefits on perks
ON-SITE
- On-site Role in Ingersoll, Ontario
SHIFTS
- Should be flexible for 2 Rotation/Swing Shifts
- 1st and 2nd shifts
BG CHECK REQUIREMENTS
- Min High School - Should have a copy of original diploma/degree copy.
- Must clear criminal checks.
ROME SUMMARY
- The main function of a production supervisor is to supervise and coordinate the activities of unionized hourly workforce in automotive body shop
- Supervisor of unionized workforce in automotive manufacturing plant.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
* Recommend measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.
* Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems.
* Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, and maintenance to detect production problems.
* Hire, train, evaluate, and discharge staff, and resolve personal grievances.
* Prepare and maintain production reports and personnel records.
SKILLS
* Verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage one's time.
* Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
* Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
* Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
* High school diploma or GED required. Associate's degree in business or related field preferred.
* 0-7 years' experience required.
