Job Responsibilities

• Product Engineer
• Location: Auburn Hills, MI
• Pay Rate: $46 per hour, 2-weeks PTO, 7 paid Holidays
• Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401(k)
• 1-year contract with possibility of extension
• Analyze, design, develop and maintain automation software for Emissions and Fuel Economy testing
• Work with users to gather requirements
• Analyze the customers requirements
• Design the software system to satisfy users specifications
• Develop the needed software
• Test the software thoroughly
• Generate documentation for all developed software
• Integrate 3rd party devices into the software system
• Evaluate 3rd party software to determine if it is beneficial for the department
• Provide on-going software support for all users including requesting engineers, operators, and management
• Perform software maintenance tasks to the PCs, operating system, database, etc.
• Work with team members to design new features and address software issues
• Work with different groups within and outside the department to debug and correct complex issues

Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or equivalent from an ABET accredited university
• Minimum TEN years of propulsion system related engineering and/or calibration experience
• Understanding of phased gated launch processes for product development
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate to and prepare presentations for executive leadership
• Strong cross functional team management skills along with superior written and oral skills
• Candidate must be highly motivated, self-directed, and have the ability to manage multiple complex assignments simultaneously
• onsite anywhere from 3-5 days per week.
• No driving a Stellantis vehicle required.
• Travel 0-20% - Most of the travel will be to Mexico to the engine Assembly plant
