Job Responsibilities
- Product Engineer
- Location: Auburn Hills, MI
- Pay Rate: $46 per hour, 2-weeks PTO, 7 paid Holidays
- Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401(k)
- 1-year contract with possibility of extension
- Analyze, design, develop and maintain automation software for Emissions and Fuel Economy testing
- Work with users to gather requirements
- Analyze the customers requirements
- Design the software system to satisfy users specifications
- Develop the needed software
- Test the software thoroughly
- Generate documentation for all developed software
- Integrate 3rd party devices into the software system
- Evaluate 3rd party software to determine if it is beneficial for the department
- Provide on-going software support for all users including requesting engineers, operators, and management
- Perform software maintenance tasks to the PCs, operating system, database, etc.
- Work with team members to design new features and address software issues
- Work with different groups within and outside the department to debug and correct complex issues
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or equivalent from an ABET accredited university
- Minimum TEN years of propulsion system related engineering and/or calibration experience
- Understanding of phased gated launch processes for product development
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate to and prepare presentations for executive leadership
- Strong cross functional team management skills along with superior written and oral skills
- Candidate must be highly motivated, self-directed, and have the ability to manage multiple complex assignments simultaneously
- onsite anywhere from 3-5 days per week.
- No driving a Stellantis vehicle required.
- Travel 0-20% - Most of the travel will be to Mexico to the engine Assembly plant
