Job Responsibilities
Your specific duties as a Sr. Robotics Integration Engineer will include:
- Compensation (Range): $90,000 - $97,500
- The Outsourcing Robotics Vendor Support (CL4-EX3) position within the Equipment Production department is integral to the mission of HDMA. This role provides essential leadership to external vendors in the areas of robotics programming, installation, and maturation support. It collaborates with internal cross-functional teams and external vendors during the development and integration of equipment into facilities for New Model/Business plan projects. This is done under the guidance of the Unit Lead or an assigned mentor. Furthermore, the Outsourcing Robotics Vendor Support role enhances the HDMA mission by utilizing -specific knowledge and technical expertise to achieve project targets and drive optimized solutions.
- Facilitate the coordination of vendor-provided robotic reviews, such as an off-line teaching (OLT) review with internal cross-functional teams. Assure that all final deliverables are received at the end of project and stored on internal file system.
- Evaluate and confirm vendor schedules and deadlines for both offline and online robotic teaching activities, providing support with recovery plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with internal robotics teams to comprehend and synchronize offline and online activity with vendor-related robotic operations.
- Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to be able to communicate PEBU Robotics standards and processes necessary for achieving equipment quality targets to outside vendor. This includes supporting and reviewing robotic programming, providing technical assistance, sharing key references and benchmark practices.
- Provide front line mentorship to vendors from a robotics perspective to ensure all equipment operates according to standard operational procedures and that all quality, cost, and delivery targets are achieved throughout the project.
- Provide support to vendor throughout equipment installation as needed, including on-site presence for line side investigation, preparation, and installation. Implement procedures to ensure goals for outsourcing projects.
- Lead tooling buyoff activity (T1, SEV, full turnkey) to ensure all quality checks are completed, robot programming adheres to specifications, and the process meets cycle time and quality targets.
- Lead recurrence prevention activity when issues are identified between and vendor (making necessary updates to robotics processes and procedures as needed).
- Regularly travel to vendor manufacturing facilities to inspect robotic cells being built and confirm maturation quality. Mentor less experienced supplier associates to help them gain experience with robotics processes.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering related field or other technical relevant degree or equivalent automated robotics programming work experience
- Minimum of 5+ years of total experience. 3+ years in automated robotics programming/maturation related to mass production equipment preferred.
- Experience with New Model project install
- MS Office, Communication - Public Speaking/Presentation skills, Problem solving and decision making, & Interaction with executive level management. TQM style analysis and problem-solving skills
- Working Conditions
- Combination office and plant floor
- Willingness to work shifted work weeks, weekends, and overtime when necessary
- 20% to 30% travel both domestic and international
