Job Responsibilities
Your specific duties as a Continuous Improvement Engineer will include:

  • Continuous Improvement Engineer
  • Waterloo, IA- onsite
  • 12-month contract w/potential to extend
  • Pay- $38-40/hr
  • Plans, coordinates, performs product design, testing and/or analysis work for a complete project of moderate scope or for a significant portion or a sub-system of a major and diverse project.
  • Operates in a team environment, providing input to design solutions and participating in design reviews.
  • Contribute to the analysis of information and the specification of the methods and process steps, as well as the plant, machinery, and equipment, required to design and continuously improve manufacturing or materials processes and process systems to deliver the end product within specified cost and quality parameters.
  • Contribute to the development of, and implement feasibility testing of, proposed engineering solutions to provide feedback and data to validate the design


Job Requirements

  • Good communication skills and the ability to work with teams composed of diverse individuals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience in product design, development, or related functional area
  • Experience applying engineering principles, theory and practice
  • Experience in leading engineering projects, good project management
  • 1 or more years' experience with diagnostic skills, root cause / failure analysis, and problem solving.
  • 1 or more years' experience with diesel engine design and performance.
  • 1 or more years' experience in computer aided design systems (Creo) creating 3D models and 2D drawings.
  • Experience with GD&T
  • Part release and workflow knowledge
  • Good knowledge documentation and organizing skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Experience with post processing data.
  • Will consider entry level graduates.
  • Degree in Engineering and/or Data Analytics (Will consider either or. We don't expect Data Analytics candidates to also have Engineering background).
