Job Responsibilities

  • Compensation (Range): $34-$35 / hour
  • Shift: 2nd shift only (2:30 PM - 11:30 PM)
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday; occasional weekend work may be required
  • The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing warehouse employees and ensuring the achievement of departmental goals in safety, quality, productivity, and responsiveness.
  • This position requires effective leadership to support team members, optimize operations, and achieve business objectives.
  • Counsel and support hourly employees with their needs and concerns
  • Address both positive and negative employee performance behaviors
  • Utilize Quality Network problem-solving processes, engaging employees for improvement ideas
  • Apply Workplace Organization (WPO) standards to enhance layouts and workflow efficiency
  • Update Timekeeping System (TKS) daily to ensure accurate payroll processing
  • Document problem-solving activities using the A-3 reporting format in accordance with guidelines
  • Conduct daily meetings to review business performance and encourage two-way communication
  • Perform and document weekly safety observation tours
  • Plan daily workloads in advance for optimal shift performance
  • Collaborate and support colleagues to maximize shift productivity
  • Ensure compliance with all contractual requirements (National and Local)
  • Enforce Shop Rules consistently
  • Perform daily audits on Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
  • Advance professional skills via Individual Development Plan (IDP)
  • Keep the General Supervisor Shop Committee informed of all major activities and updates


Job Requirements

  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and procedures
  • Proficient in basic math
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with technology related to assigned area
  • Experience with scheduling and management systems
  • Sound analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate teams and drive results
  • Working knowledge of quality control principles and procedures
  • High school diploma required; 1-2 years of technical or business school training preferred
  • Training in skilled trades or equivalent technical area
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience required
