Job Responsibilities
- Compensation (Range): 70-77 / hour
- Position Title: Plant Integration Team Project Manager
- Employment Type: Full-Time
- Work Schedule: 4x10s, Monday-Thursday
- Work Environment: Hybrid/Field
- Travel: Required across the Eastern Carolinas (personal vehicle use reimbursed for mileage)
- The PIT Site Lead is responsible for ensuring operational readiness for new solar and battery storage plant construction projects in the Eastern Carolinas. This role bridges the gap between construction, commissioning, and operations, ensuring a seamless transition of new assets to the operations team. The Site Lead collaborates with multiple stakeholders to meet project integration goals and ensure a fully functional and operable facility at turnover.
- Serve as the primary operations liaison throughout the project lifecycle-from design to turnover.
- Conduct site visits and walkdowns with quality assurance teams to verify project standards.
- Coordinate and witness equipment inspections and circuit verifications.
- Support staffing and onboarding for new facilities or expansions.
- Execute integration protocols and ensure readiness at construction turnover.
- Lead integration teams to address training, procedures, maintenance plans, labeling, tooling, and spare parts.
- Provide regular status updates and reports to leadership.
- Ensure team training and activities align with project schedules.
- Coordinate with database administrators and spare parts planners to maintain schedule alignment.
- Review and validate spare parts strategies to balance operational needs and inventory control.
- Manage project-specific integration budgets and report on financial performance.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of related experience
- High School Diploma/GED and 8 years of related experience
- Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, or Project Management
- 3-5 years of plant operations experience, including major projects
- Experience in power plant operations, project or outage management
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Familiarity with construction and commissioning processes
- Extensive travel experience
- Experience with solar or storage maintenance and operations
- Prior experience as a Plant Integration Site Lead
- Additional Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in Project Management, Decision Making, Critical Thinking, and Problem Solving
- Experience in Risk Management, Project Leadership, and Cross-functional Collaboration
- Knowledge of utility business operations (regulated or commercial)
- Construction management expertise
- Skilled in scheduling and cost control for projects
- Working Conditions
- Work is performed both remotely and onsite. Candidates should reside within a reasonable commute distance to a designated facility in North Carolina.
