Job Responsibilities

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Simulation Engineer to support the development of advanced propulsion systems, with a focus on combustion system analysis.
  • This role involves guiding design teams, performing high-fidelity simulations, and delivering actionable insights to ensure functional and performance objectives are met.
  • Analyze combustion system designs to meet functional and performance requirements.
  • Develop and execute 3D CFD models for internal combustion engines using tools such as Converge or Star-CCM+.
  • Provide component- and system-level design recommendations based on simulation results.
  • Retrieve and modify CAD models to support CFD model development.
  • Collaborate with method development teams to enhance analysis tools and practices for improved accuracy and efficiency.
  • Present simulation findings to cross-functional teams, including Chief Engineers and Propulsion System leadership.
  • Document objectives, methodologies, results, and conclusions using standardized reporting formats.
  • Partner with test engineers to align simulation and physical testing strategies.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and competitive trends in propulsion and combustion systems.

Job Requirements

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering, or Applied Physics.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in CFD simulations focused on propulsion and combustion systems.
  • Proficiency with simulation tools such as Converge, Ansa, or Star-CCM+.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven technical problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ph.D. in a relevant engineering or physics discipline.
  • Broad knowledge of propulsion technologies and energy transformation systems.
  • Hands-on experience with combustion system simulations.
  • Programming skills in tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, Visual Basic, or Visual C++.
  • Demonstrated success in applying simulation insights to improve design and development processes
  • Experience with ICE/DHE (Dedicated Hybrid Engine) combustion system simulations using Converge or Star-CCM+.
  • In-depth knowledge of ICE combustion systems.
