Job Responsibilities

  • The Wiring Systems Engineer is responsible for all aspects of wire harness schematics design.
  • Wire and fuse sizing, harness architecture layout, implementation of CAN network layouts, product plan assessment and harness complexity creation, harness design optimization (VAVE / VO).
  • The Systems Engineer will design and validate the electrical systems and released components to ensure we meet all electrical specifications in the vehicle and component environments
  • The systems engineer will support PWB and manufacturing facilities for entire life cycle, manage supplier systems engineering support team, manage large amounts of data and be fluent working in corporate computer systems

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent (Materials /Chemical/ Civil/ Aerospace/Computer) from an ABET accredited university
  • 2 years of transportation wiring design and release experience or vehicle electrical system experience
  • 3 years of engineering experience
  • Excellent communication skills that include writing, creation and presentation of management level high quality presentation materials and report
  • Proficient in MS Office suite of tools including PowerPoint, Excel and Word
  • Master of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
  • Training in DFMEA, DVP&R and DFSS development tools and processes
  • Working knowledge of CAD systems (NX, Catia)
  • Fluency in Spanish and English
  • Experience in high volume manufacturing facilities
  • Familiarity with wiring harness drawings and specifications for automotive applications
  • Web publishing and familiarity with SharePoint data management environments
  • Schematic experience - reading and creating
  • Power distribution experience
  • Wire harness complexity experience
