Job Responsibilities
Your specific duties as a Business/Data Analyst will include:
- The Sr. Business Analyst - Data Visualization Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining dynamic reports, dashboards, and data visualization solutions that deliver actionable insights across business functions. This role combines advanced SQL development with business intelligence tools to support strategic decision-making and performance optimization.
- Develop visually compelling reporting packages and dashboards aligned with core business objectives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and translate reporting requirements into effective data solutions.
- Present data in clear, professional formats tailored to various audiences.
- Understand key performance indicators and business processes to enhance analytics across channels.
- Create wireframes and mockups to demonstrate proposed solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Design, test, document, and maintain database queries and reports.
- Integrate data from internal and external sources to support comprehensive analysis.
- Establish systematic reporting processes for daily, weekly, monthly, annual, and ad hoc needs.
- Maintain and enhance existing reports and dashboards.
- Troubleshoot data integrity issues and ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Combine multiple data sources to uncover customer behavior insights and service improvement opportunities.
- Communicate data requirements to Data Architects and ETL teams for warehouse and data mart development.
Job Requirements - Bachelor's degree or 7 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in IT, sales & marketing, e-commerce, customer service, project management, or process improvement.
- BS/BA in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3-5+ years in a Data Scientist, Reporting Developer, or Analyst role.
- Demonstrated portfolio of professional data visualization work.
- Expertise in tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Report Builder, SSRS, PowerPivot, SAS, Tableau, or equivalent.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, including complex queries, scripts, and stored procedures.
- Experience with data architecture and ETL processes.
- Ability to transition reporting environments to Power BI.
- Passion for learning new visualization techniques and reporting methods.
- Creative, responsive, and adaptive in dynamic environments.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Self-starter with strong ownership and project completion capabilities.
- Effective multitasking and prioritization in high-volume settings.
- Experience with programming languages such as SQL, DAX, R, Visual Basic, or equivalents.
- Familiarity with SSIS, ETL, and OLAP processes is a plus.
