Job Responsibilities
Your specific duties as a Recruiting Specialist will include:

• The Talent Acquisition team at Duke Energy is seeking a motivated and professional Associate Recruiter.
• This role supports the mission to attract top talent and build a workforce reflective of the communities served.
• The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong relationship management, communication skills, and a passion for delivering a positive candidate experience.
• Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to develop strategic recruiting plans with a focus on diversity
• Build candidate pipelines through effective sourcing and recruiting strategies
• Advise hiring managers in compliance with employment laws and internal processes
• Conduct intake sessions for job requisition creation
• Create and manage requisitions in Workday
• Source candidates using internal tools, external platforms, social media, and job boards
• Pre-screen applicants and extend verbal offers, including negotiation when needed
• Collaborate with Recruiting Coordinators to ensure accurate and timely hiring and onboarding
• May perform Recruiting Coordinator duties as needed
  
  Job Requirements
• Bachelor's degree (candidates without a degree will not rank highly)
• 1+ year of full lifecycle recruiting experience
• 1+ year of recruiting coordinator experience
• Experience in large corporate environments
• Workday experience
• 2+ years of human resources experience
• Experience with full lifecycle recruiting
• Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and CRM platforms
• Workday experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Thorough understanding of employment laws and regulations
• High attention to detail
• Experience gathering business requirements and networking for diverse skill sets
