Our client has engaged us to assist them in hiring a contract Senior Project Chief Body closure. Hourly pay range $ 44-46

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This role spans the entire vehicle program lifecycle-from concept to post-launch
  • Collaborate with Product Planning and Design to guide vehicle design toward feasible technical solutions.
  • Establish and manage Cost, Weight, and Investment targets early in the program.
  • Track supplier selection and design release for tooling.
  • Manage component and system testing plans and timelines.
  • Develop recovery and mitigation plans as needed.
  • Provide supplier and assembly plant support during pilot and launch phases.
  • Address warranty and quality issues post-launch related to exterior trim.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering design and component development.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to coordinate complex projects across teams.
  • Experience in design, development, and release of Closures components (sheetmetal, plastic, sealing).
  • Familiarity with DFSS, DFMEA, and validation/testing processes.
  • Proven leadership in engineering teams to meet quality, fit/finish, and functional objectives.
