Our client has engaged us to assist them in hiring a contract Electrical Distribution Project Manager. Hourly pay range $55-60

Job Responsibilities
Your specific duties as a Electrical Distribution Project Manager will include:

  • Responsible for the Distribution execution work for the Integrated Volt Volt Var (IVVC) projects in the Triad and Triangle North zones.
  • The is fairly typical management of scope/schedule/cost for capital projects.
  • This involves financial tracking and forecasting, engaging with operations stakeholders, providing status updates to executives, and using systems for tracking and reporting.
  • Strong MS Excel skill are needed.
  • The successful candidate will have 3-5 years of PM experience in the utility industry - Electric Distribution or Transmission experience much preferred.
  • EM can be flexible with work site.
  • Will need to reside in around the Triad area - Greensboro, Durham, Burlington, etc.
  • Further out locations (ie. Charlotte) may acceptable for the right candidate.
  • Hybrid role, 3 days/week in office.

    Job Requirements
  • This position is typically retained to manage multiple White or Green I projects per the Project Management Center of Excellence Project Profile Matrix.
  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience.
  • Graduation from a two-year college or university.
  • Working knowledge of project management principles.
  • Working Knowledge to Proficiency in Project Management, Decision Making, Critical Thinking, and Problem Solving; Project related work experience; Risk Management; Project Leadership; Proven Collaborative Team Member.
  • Graduation from a four-year college or university.
  • Utility Technical Certifications/Training; PMI (PMP or CAPM) Certification; CMII certificates; Professional Engineer License.
  • Working knowledge to proficiency in project related Scheduling/ Cost Controls.
  • Experience in utility industry.
  • Knowledge in construction management.
  • The Project Manager I may have relationships with individuals in various organizations ranging from individual contributors to Senior Department Leadership (i.e. individual contributors up to executive management).
