Bartech has an excellent contract opportunity with John Deere client for a Computer Support Associate. As a Computer Support Associate located in Waterloo, IA, provide essential day-to-day operational support for a computing environment, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning of IT systems. This role involves a mix of administrative and technical responsibilities, supporting hardware, software, and user needs across the organization. Additionally, this role will:

Job Description

• Manage onsite desktop hardware and software.
• Provide basic printer maintenance (e.g., replacing toner, pickup rollers).
• Offer smart hands support for server and network teams.
• Support conference room technology and computer deployments.
• Perform routine tasks such as imaging computers, resolving trouble tickets via ServiceNow, and disposing of outdated assets.
• Follow documented procedures and knowledge base articles for issue resolution.
• Update asset records and adhere to unit-specific processes.
• Maintain and distribute documents such as contact lists, process logs, incident reports, and customer updates.
• Handle standard facilities administration requests and exterior ship orders.
• Communicate effectively via email and maintain basic records.
• Identify and resolve issues using pre-established solutions.
• Escalate problems that fall outside documented procedures
• Schedule routine equipment maintenance and order supplies.
• Monitor inventory levels and update data records.
• Interact with suppliers as needed.
• Apply basic technical knowledge to support operations.
• Troubleshoot end-user issues by following KB articles.
  

Job Requirements

• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Basic technical knowledge of computer hardware and peripherals.
• Ability to follow established procedures and resolve routine issues.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Customer-service oriented with attention to detail.
