Hourly pay range $ 43-$48 /HR
Job Responsibilities
Your specific duties as an International Logistics & Trade Specialist will include:
Trade Operations
- Maintain U.S. and Canadian trade compliance work instructions and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate policies.
- Provide trade compliance training on export/import controls and procedures.
- Collaborate with Operations & Logistics Managers to improve process controls.
- Classify articles using HTS and ECCN codes.
- Maintain and update Master HTS and ECCN listings in ERP systems.
- Stay current on U.S. and Canadian trade regulations.
- Maintain import/export records.
- Liaise with Corporate Trade Compliance and respond to customs communications.
- Audit import/export documentation and initiate corrections.
- Analyze customs broker reports to monitor compliance risks.
- Manage duty mitigation programs such as duty drawback.
Logistics Operations
- Arrange and track international shipments (air, ocean, rail, trucking).
- Select carriers and manage freight bookings.
- Ensure compliance with international shipping and customs regulations.
- Prepare and review shipping documents.
- Provide logistics support to engineering, field service, and sales teams.
- Troubleshoot freight and customs issues.
- Provide real-time shipment updates.
- Resolve delays, damages, or customs holds.
- Prepare logistics performance reports.
- Drive continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; preference for Logistics or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or customs brokerage.
- Knowledge of Harmonized Tariff and ECCN classification.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication.
- Team-oriented with ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to sit, stand, reach, bend, and move about the facility.
Work Environment
- Office setting with standard equipment.
- 40-hour work week.
- Less than 10% travel within the U.S. for training/meetings.
