Hourly pay range $ 40-44
Job Responsibilities
Your specific duties as a Sourcing Specialist will include:
- The Senior Sourcing Specialist will lead the evaluation of sourcing opportunities, internal supply chains, and supply markets to develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives.
- This role requires a proven track record in sourcing and negotiating complex, high-value categories.
- The ideal candidate will work independently with minimal supervision, applying advanced skills to manage complex projects and resolve issues using established concepts and procedures.
- Strategy Development: Collaborate with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to create sourcing strategies for complex, high-value materials, equipment, or services, including regional and enterprise-wide initiatives.
- Strategy Execution: Develop RFQs and RFPs, analyze supplier responses, and partner with teams to determine optimal contract awards.
- Negotiation: Engage with supplier and manufacturer leadership to negotiate contracts, drive cost savings, and improve process efficiencies.
- Change Management: Support change management initiatives to ensure successful implementation of sourcing strategies.
- Relationship Management: Maintain strategic supplier relationships and effective communication with internal and external partners.
- Supplier Management: Oversee post-award activities including settlements, claims, disputes, and contract amendments.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Stay informed on commodities, market conditions, and diversity opportunities affecting procurement.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and cross-training to sourcing team members.
- This position also supports the Regulated and Renewables Energy (RRE) business unit with strategic sourcing for equipment bids and purchase order contracts.
- Responsibilities include managing Alliance Agreements and Master Service Agreements, along with category management
Job Requirements - Bachelor's degree
- 5-10 years of related experience in Supply Chain
- Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) and/or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)
- Experience in utility industry projects, outages, and capital initiatives
- Sourcing engineered equipment for power plants
- Strong business and financial acumen
- Excellent contract negotiation and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong planning and organizational abilities
- Analytical and problem-solving expertise
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Experience with e-sourcing tools (e.g., PowerAdvocate) and ERP systems (e.g., CAS, Maximo)
- Technical knowledge of power plant equipment
- Operational excellence mindset
