Job Responsibilities
Your specific duties as a HR Generalist will include:

  • Maintain accurate HR database records, including conducting data integrity audits and identifying process improvements in collaboration with HR management.
  • Manage and maintain the electronic personnel file system, ensuring proper scanning and organization of documents.
  • Ensure accuracy of employee files, including subfolder structure, transfers, and terminations.
  • Administer the Severance Plan, including detailed record keeping, processing, and overall program management.
  • Provide general support to the Senior Manager of HR for Albertsons Media Collective and client groups, including research, query execution, and response preparation for corporate management.
  • Generate ongoing reports and coordinate with other departments to ensure data accuracy.
  • Assist with new hire onboarding, including completion of automated paperwork.
  • Coordinate drug screening for new hires and manage the I-9 verification process.
  • Identify areas for improvement and conduct research to support team best practices.
  • Process HR transactions such as transfers, job reclassifications, and promotions electronically.
  • Support HR initiatives and projects including the HR Collab Site, internal website, onboarding, imaging, and payroll.
  • Maintain organizational charts and provide ad-hoc reporting as needed.
  • Act as a connector across Corporate and backstage HR teams, often contributing to cross-functional projects and initiatives beyond the immediate department.

    Job Requirements
  • Experience with employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Proficiency in ad-hoc reporting.
  • Familiarity with mail merge functionality.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar HR role.
  • Solid understanding of HR laws and compliance (e.g., FMLA, FLSA, EEO).
  • Experience with HRIS systems (Oracle preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel (intermediate to advanced), and PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data management.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
