Automation Engineer

Hourly pay range $ 40.87

Job Responsibilities
Your specific duties as a Automation Engineer will include:

• Code Development: Translate control narratives and P&IDs into structured ladder logic for PLCs
• HMI Design: Develop intuitive HMI screens for operator control and monitoring
• Collaboration & Commissioning: Partner with cross-functional teams to commission equipment and troubleshoot systems
• Electrical Systems Integration: Interpret electrical drawings and schematics for design and troubleshooting
• Hands-On Implementation: Wire 24V DC control devices (transmitters, sensors, actuators) per specifications
  

Job Requirements

• Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Computer Engineering, or related technical field
• Experience: 2-5 years preferred in relevant areas
• Strong time management and task prioritization
• Flexibility to work, respond, and travel during off-hours
• Effective communication with operations, IT, and OT teams
• Proficiency in PLC programming (RSLogix or similar)
• Ability to read electrical schematics
• Hands-on aptitude for office and field environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
• Internship/co-op experience in industrial automation or process control
• Experience with Rockwell Automation Systems
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (EtherNet/IP, Modbus)
