STA Engineer

Our client has engaged us to assist them in hiring a contract STA Launch/Resident Engineer. Hourly Pay Range: $46.00/hr

Job Responsibilities:

• Identify and manage New Tooled End Items (NTEIs), including supplier coordination and documentation.
• Lead supplier engagement and training on APQP/PPAP readiness.
• Track and drive resolution of PPAP deliverables and timing plans.
• Support launch activities including build events, milestone reviews, and quality audits.
• Facilitate cross-functional meetings to resolve supplier issues and ensure on-time approvals.
• Represent suppliers in program meetings and advocate for issue resolution.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical/manufacturing field.
• Strong understanding of APQP and PPAP processes.
• Experience with quality management and problem-solving tools.
• Familiarity with STA quality systems and new model launch tools.
