Schedule: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday - Friday
Pay Rate: $38 per hour

Job Description:
Major purpose:
The Quality Project Lead on the Ag & Turf Creative team is responsible for proofreading creative assets to ensure the quality of written content and leading the creative proofing process. This includes verifying that stakeholder-requested changes have been accurately completed before creative assets are released to the stakeholder or published. Additionally, the Quality Project Lead plays a crucial role in ensuring that all creative assets are proofed and approved in a timely manner, helping to keep projects on schedule.
Major duties:
- Collaborates closely with creative and content leads, writers, and designers to ensure high-quality digital, video, and print advertising that supports marketing objectives.
- Proofreads marketing and advertising materials according to the John Deere Style Guide to ensure the quality of written content.
- Identifies and corrects errors in grammar, spelling, punctuation, and style, as well as verifies that stakeholder-requested changes have been completed accurately.
- Coordinates our robust four-round proofing process (two rounds of internal review + two rounds of stakeholder review).
- Sends proofs to stakeholders for review and approval.
- Facilitates simple stakeholder-requested changes and coordinates with creative and content leads on more complex changes.
- Monitors the statuses of proofs and communicates what actions are ready to be taken by the creative team.
- Follows up with stakeholders on proofs to ensure projects stay on track.
- Completes quality reviews on time and with attention to detail.
- Serves as the point of contact for onboarding new people into the creative team and coaches existing team members on quality standards.
Top Must Haves:
- Attention to detail, including comparing proof versions to ensure copy changes have been made accurately.
- Ability to stay organized and focused on deadlines in a fast-paced environment. As a point of reference, we sent 1,700 creative proofs for review in the last 12 months, and they contained over 6,000 comments from stakeholders that had to be facilitated.
- Be a self-starter who can take direction and stay motivated to execute under minimal supervision.
- Make sound decisions based on a variety of data points.
- Solid communication skills with the ability to coordinate with teammates and stakeholders to resolve impediments and seek out missing information.
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience using project management software to manage work.
- Speak the language of the various applications of production, including print and digital advertising, marketing, photography, illustration, and video production.
Required Qualifications:
- 7-10 years of copyediting or proofreading experience in communications, marketing or advertising.
- Speak the language of the various applications of production, including print and digital advertising, marketing, photography, illustration, and video production.
- Solid communication skills. You'll need to coordinate with teammates and stakeholders to resolve impediments and seek out missing information.
- Multitask. You'll need to actively manage and execute multiple projects simultaneously. We use project management software, but there's no substitute for personal responsibility.
- Be a quick learner. Get up to speed quickly on the industry, our solutions and products, and various software tools for online project management, team communication, etc.
- Work well as part of a team yet remain focused on individual responsibilities.
- Education Preferred: Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, advertising, or creative writing/English
