BEV/eMotor Calibration Engineer

Hourly Pay Rate: $46.16
Location: Auburn Hills, MI
Duration: Long-Term Contract
Work Arrangement: Onsite (100%)
Travel Requirement: Approximately 10%
Driving Requirement: Must be able to drive a Stellantis vehicle
Job Responsibilities
· Support calibration development for motor control in the Hybrid Control Processor (HCP) from dyno testing through vehicle launch
· Apply and optimize control systems for Hybrid and BEV propulsion systems
· Document and justify validation results and calibration changes using rigorous test plans (dyno and vehicle)
· Present findings to lead calibrators and senior management
· Lead or participate in Center of Excellence teams for functional areas
· Coordinate validation test plans and calibration merges with other functional leads
· Support dyno commissioning and first-run activities, including data post-processing
· Ensure calibration objectives are met through structured execution
· Promote team collaboration and support group accomplishments
Job Requirements
· Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering
· Minimum 3 years of BEV/eMotor calibration experience
· Strong oral and written communication skills
· High level of analytical ability and creativity
· Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
· Experience with Powertrain systems and calibration tools (ETAS/INCA)
· Understanding of powertrain control systems and tools (MATLAB, Simulink, C code)
· Knowledge of control system development tools (e.g., GT Power)
· Experience in powertrain control solutions, including algorithms and OBD
· Familiarity with eMachines, power electronics, and electrification power flow
· Experience in engine/transmission design or Powertrain Systems Engineering
· Minimum 2 years of calibration experience in electrified propulsion or electric motor calibration
Preferred Qualifications
· Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering
· DFSS Green Belt certification
· Experience with electronic parking systems and alignment
