Hourly pay range $25-$30

Job Responsibilities

• Analyze and record journal entries; perform reconciliations for ACH, lockbox, and other banking accounts.
• Prepare period-end accruals for retail and corporate bank fees.
• Review and provide backup for stop payments and voids processed by accounting clerks.
• Complete weekly and periodic reconciliations for bank accounts involving check and ACH transactions.
• Investigate discrepancies in cash outlays with banking partners and Accounts Payable.
• Research and resolve aged outstanding items on balance sheet reconciliations.
• Review daily positive pay exception reports to ensure timely resolution.
• Provide guidance to internal and external stakeholders regarding outgoing bank transactions.
• Generate standard and ad hoc reports using Excel, ODBC queries, and Oracle.
• Support internal and external audits with documentation and explanations.
• Mentor peers and junior staff, demonstrating leadership by example.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience in a large organization using a large-scale ERP system
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams)
• Solid understanding of GAAP
• Strong analytical and customer service skills
• Effective oral and written communication
• Preferred: Experience in retail and/or banking industries
