Hourly pay range $40-$44

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit zoning and permitting applications; monitor progress and respond to jurisdictional requests.
  • Collaborate with design teams to facilitate permit drawings and construction documents for nodes, power, and outside plant construction.
  • Maintain timely updates in internal systems and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Act as the entitlement lead in customer meetings and serve as a subject matter expert on state and local telecommunications codes.
  • Understand and articulate Federal Wireless Facilities Deployment legislation, including Section 6409(a) and related FCC Orders.
  • Liaise with internal teams to ensure compliance with permit conditions throughout project stages.
  • Analyze financial data related to permitting and ensure proper billing and reconciliation of reimbursable expenses.
  • Participate in pre-project planning meetings at the District and Area levels.
  • Ensure permit packages meet local and statewide requirements.
  • Coordinate building permit closeouts post-construction.
  • Build and maintain relationships with municipal staff, including code enforcement, inspectors, planning and zoning officials, and community groups.
  • Represent Crown Castle at municipal meetings to secure zoning approvals.
  • Manage compliance with municipal conditions for site installation and operation.
  • Support internal teams in reviewing agreements in collaboration with legal counsel.
  • Provide research and guidance on access rights, permitting, and deployment strategies.

Job Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent work experience

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years in Planning, Zoning, Land Use, or the Wireless Industry; relevant military experience also considered
  • Proven zoning and permitting experience
  • Experience working within a corporate environment

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of planning and zoning codes and regulations
  • Public speaking and presentation experience with governmental entities
  • Familiarity with zoning application requirements and public hearing processes
  • Ability to read and understand construction plans and surveys
  • Strong project management and multitasking skills
  • Problem-solving and contract comprehension abilities
  • Attention to detail and excellent communication skills
  • Willingness to travel locally as needed
