Job Title: Electrical Engineer and PE (relay protection)
Location: Charlotte, NC 28214
Pay Rate: $67.00 per hour

Professional Engineer needed to work with relay protection schemes and relay logic

Required

• A Bachelor's in Engineering and a PE is required for this role. Master's degree is not required but preferred.
• Knowledge of wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Diagrams and schematics associated with DER site equipment are a plus. (relays, inverters, UPS systems, etc.)
• Familiarity with testing and commissioning of protective circuits using Omicron and Doble test sets
• Analyses and reporting of fault responses and breaker operations
• Experience with hands-on troubleshooting and evaluation of equipment failures to determine root-cause and necessary resolution actions
• Familiarity with microprocessor-based relaying
• Familiarity with relay protection schemes and relay logic
• Experience with relay settings calculations for protective relays associated with Inverter Based Resources
• Interpret and develop relay logic with microprocessor-based relays
