Hourly pay range $44.00 -45.00 hr.
Responsibilities Include:

  • The Network Permitting & Utility Supervisor is responsible for leading all activities related to securing necessary entitlements, permits, right-of-way access, and utility attachments required for network infrastructure deployment.
  • This highly responsible role manages a team of specialists, oversees vendor interactions, and ensures timely project delivery by adhering to established schedules and managing data integrity within tracking systems.
  • The ideal candidate will possess a strong background managing complex relationships with utility companies, negotiating access agreements, and representing the organization before various governmental and jurisdictional entities.
  • The role demands expertise in utility requirements (NESC, NEC, GO 95, etc.), applicable laws, codes, and ordinances governing telecommunications deployment, as well as a strong understanding of construction plans and utility coordination.


Education
Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience required
Required Skills / Qualifications

  • A minimum of two (2) years of proven experience working for a wireless carrier, wireless services/site acquisition firm, utility, or in a jurisdictional Planning, Zoning, and Land Use capacity, or relevant military experience is required.
  • A minimum of two (2) years proven experience working in a fiber company, telephone or power utility working on joint use matters and/or engineering and/or rights-of-way.
  • Public Right-of-Way permitting and Wireless Industry experience preferred.

Other Skills/Abilities

  • Experience in presenting and speaking to the public and governmental entities.
  • Experience working with engineering and design teams, and with the preparation of permit applications and construction documents.
  • Familiarity with the rules and policies of the Public Utilities Commission, NESC, GO 95, NEC, and FCC/state pole and conduit attachment regulations.
  • Excellent organizational, negotiation, and communication (oral and written) skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, work independently, and demonstrate keen attention to detail.
  • Customer service orientation with a strong problem-solving approach.

Location: Remote (Irvine- San Diego area)
Travel: 10-15% to the listed areas above
