Hourly pay range $ 23-25

Job Responsibilities

  • Coordinate internal and vendor maintenance activities
  • Assess Methods of Procedure (MOP) and approve maintenance events
  • Analyze and validate circuit impacts
  • Resolve conflicts related to maintenance and network outages
  • Schedule and coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and customers
  • Research customer information and ensure proper notifications
  • Provide proactive customer communications
  • Support the Change Management (CM) support line for remote troubleshooting
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and clear alarms from NMS event logs
  • Serve as the primary contact for Change Management inquiries
  • Participate in record validation projects

Job Requirements

Required Knowledge & Experience

  • 3-5 years of telecommunications experience
  • Hands-on experience with SONET, IP protocols/routing, Layer 2 switching, WDM, Dark Fiber, and OTDR testing
  • Experience with NMS alarm monitoring and circuit inventory systems (e.g., OSP Insight, Netcracker)
  • Familiarity with NOC/Ops, Nortel 6500/5200Lambda Unite, Infinera
  • Proficient with MS Office
  • Strong judgment, attention to detail, and organizational skills
  • Excellent customer service and multitasking abilities
  • Positive attitude and ability to work cross-functionally

Desired Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of service provider experience
  • Certifications: CCNA, CCNP, ITIL, Network+ (preferred)
  • Experience with Cisco routers/switches, Cisco ONS, Lucent DMX, Juniper MX/EX, MRV, BGP, IPv6, JUNOS

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required
