Senior Engineering Manager

Our client has engaged us to assist them in hiring a contract Senior Engineering Manager. Hourly pay range $50/hr

Job Responsibilities

• Collaborate with ADS development engineers to design automated driving system (ADS) software logic in C/C++.
• Develop logic by defining design requirements, testing/validating functionality, and ensuring quality and safety concepts are integrated into software design.
• Lead DRBFM reviews to proactively identify and mitigate potential failure modes.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely completion of critical tasks.
• Maintain a comprehensive tracking system for internal deliverables.
• Serve as a liaison with external partners, ensuring clear and effective communication.
• Oversee software integration to confirm alignment with overall system requirements.
• Identify process gaps and propose standardized improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
• Contribute to coding and software development activities.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in systems-level roles, including managing requirements, executing DRBFM processes, and coordinating follow-up tasks.
• Prior exposure to automotive or similar technical industries.
• Strong skills in specification writing and software documentation.
• Hands-on experience with collaborative software development (pull requests, peer reviews).
• Knowledge of CAN/LIN/Ethernet protocols.
• Understanding of software principles and integration to work effectively with technical teams.
• Excellent organizational, negotiation, and communication skills for cross-functional coordination.
