Systems Engineer Calibration

Hourly pay range $ 38-40
Job Responsibilities
- Lead vehicle thermal system sign-off activities:
- Plan and execute wind tunnel and road trip testing.
- Analyze supplier data and vehicle test results.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams:
- Work with propulsion (ICE/xEV) teams to develop calibration parameters for climate control.
- Partner with Dual Automatic Temperature Control team on calibration development.
- Coordinate with hardware teams to ensure components and subsystems meet climate performance requirements.
- Analyze and interpret test data to confirm expected vehicle behavior and compliance with requirements.
- Troubleshoot performance issues and propose corrective actions.
- Document lessons learned and incorporate improvements into future programs.
- Apply Thermal/Cabin System CAE tools (e.g., A/C, heater, battery thermal simulations).
- Ensure climate control comfort strategies are implemented across programs.
Required Skills and Experience
- Data Analysis: Ability to interpret data using tools such as ATI Vision, INCA, CANape, or Excel.
- Test Planning: Skilled in planning tests around program milestones and resource availability.
- Data Acquisition: Familiarity with data acquisition tools (ATI, INCA, CANape, Excel).
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background with an understanding of vehicle climate control systems.
- Experience with CAN logging tools and calibration tools (INCA, CANape).
- Familiarity with software integration tools (CANoe, CANalyzer).
- Knowledge of automotive communication standards (CAN/CAN-FD, Automotive Ethernet).
- Understanding of Ford engineering processes (TPOTs, GPDS).
- Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering.
- 3+ years in automotive climate control, including Dual Automatic Temperature Control and heat pump systems.
- Familiarity with powertrain calibration methods and tools.
