Production Planner

Hourly pay range $25-$26
Location: Pontiac, Michigan
Shift:
* 1st Shift: Monday - Friday
* 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM EST
Work Arrangement: Onsite (No remote)
Duration: 6 months (likely to extend)
Job Responsibilities · Serve as the primary point of contact for GPS PPO readiness and build activities.
· Maintain frequent communication with stakeholders across multiple teams.
· Proactively follow up on information for clarification and missing inputs.
· Track and manage key milestone events across organizations.
· Apply a "Go and See" approach to verify status, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
· Support Program Leads in enforcing processes, identifying gaps, and developing solutions.
· Anticipate potential challenges and implement countermeasures proactively.
· Manage escalations internally and externally to ensure build progression.
Job Requirements · 3-5 years' experience in a business or manufacturing environment.
· Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills to build relationships and resolve issues.
· Ability to manage multiple projects independently with accountability for results.
· Skilled in prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
· Comfortable handling complex projects and situations.
· Proficient in Excel and other MS Office tools (Word, PowerPoint).
· SharePoint experience is a plus.
· Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
· Self-starter with initiative; able to work independently after training.
· Strong written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications · Experience running reports and managing Excel files.
· Familiarity with material systems (EMS experience strongly preferred but not required).
