Hourly Pay Rate: $ 28-$31

Job Summary
We are seeking a full-time, onsite Engineering Technologist to provide technical expertise and support for engineering projects. In this customer-facing role, you will organize and execute tasks, contribute to problem-solving within your area of specialization, and conduct local site visits using your personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed). The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a collaborative style, and experience in the electrical or utility industry.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance and expertise to solve engineering and operational problems
• Plan, organize, estimate, schedule, and monitor work activities to achieve business objectives
• Prepare technical reports, documentation, calculations, and sketches accurately and thoroughly
• Conduct engineering studies and related analyses
• Maintain detailed and accurate records and files
• Foster positive relationships and coordinate activities across teams and external partners
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, customers, and management through written and oral channels
• Continue to advance personal technical and professional knowledge
• Positively represent the company and support company goals during all assignments
• Travel locally to field sites using your personal vehicle for day visits (mileage reimbursed)

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to work in a customer-facing role
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience using Maximo or BOUD systems is a plus
• Electrical or utility industry experience is preferred
• Experience with project management principles is an asset
• Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds

Education

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology (or equivalent), OR
• Associate Degree in Engineering Technology (or equivalent) and 0-2 years of related experience
