Cost Analyst - Hybrid (Cincinnati, OH)

Hourly Pay Range: $63/hour
Full-time, Hybrid (3 days/week in office)
Open to candidates willing to relocate to Cincinnati

Job Responsibilities

• Perform cost forecasting and reporting for a portfolio of projects with budgets ranging from $10K to $1M annual spend
• Compare monthly actuals to project baselines and identify variances
• Work closely with Project Controls Analysts and Schedulers
• Assist with routine aspects of project control assignments under close supervision
• Develop skills to work with increased independence over time
• Partner with a more experienced Project Controls Analyst for guidance
• Utilize Excel and project management tools for data analysis and reporting

Job Requirements

• Education:

  • Graduation from a two-year college or university in business, finance, project management, engineering, technical, or equivalent
  • OR minimum of 2 years of project controls experience in lieu of a degree

• Skills & Knowledge:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of basic project controls principles
  • Working knowledge of project management/project controls concepts
  • Proficiency with computer applications such as scheduling software, financial tools, and spreadsheets
  • Strong attention to detail, data analytics, and critical thinking
  • Excellent problem-solving and collaborative communication skills

• Preferred Qualifications:

  • Four-year degree in business, finance, project management, engineering, or technical field
  • PMI or AACE certification (PMP, CAPM, PMI-SP, AACE-CCC, AACE-PSP, AACE-CEP, AACE-EVP)
  • Experience with software such as MS Project, Primavera, Business Objects, Passport, MS Office Suite, Prolog, Visio, Access, Powerplant, Maximo, PeopleSoft
