Mechanical Technician

Hourly pay range: $ 26.00 - $28.00 hr.
Work hours: 2^nd. Shift
Job Responsibilities

• Experience in complete vehicle repairs and maintenance is required. Candidate will be responsible for maintaining current service procedures and practices.
• Experience in Vehicle diagnostic procedures according to SI, as well as test drive to verify sound repairs are completed.
• Completes assignments according to work requests, on-time, with high quality.
• Able to collaborate with others outside the work group and work effectively in a team environment.
• Adheres to all Safety standards.
• Actively participates in GMS and BPD initiatives of the team.
• Creates accurate, complete documentation associated with task execution.
• Perform physical tasks common to the position.
• Assists with problem solving and creation of Task Instructions as requested.
• Maintains good housekeeping standards.

Job Requirements

• Education - 2-year Technical Degree

• Years of experience - 5-7 years of experience
• Must be flexible with what they work on, exposure to a lot of different programs, comfortable with learning new things
• People that have worked out well in the past - candidates who have experience doing dealership tech they translate well into this team, dealer experience
• Interact with engineering, most interaction is through email and phone calls because this is an off shift, good with documentation is huge (will have a comment box to write what they have done), very detailed

**nice to have - EV experience**

• Diagnostic troubleshooting - experience in this vs. only tire shop/oil change is needed
• Computer skills - excel, being able to navigate Microsoft office suite
