Product Verification & Validation Engineer

Hourly Pay Range $49/hr. - $51/hr. (W2)
Major Purpose

• Plan, coordinate, and perform product design, testing, and/or analysis work.
• Lead a complete project of moderate scope or a significant portion or subsystem of a large, complex project.
• Operate in a team-based environment, contributing to design solutions and participating in design reviews.
• Assign, coordinate, and review work performed by support personnel when required.
• Make decisions within established guidelines, with work subject to supervisory review.

Major Duties and Responsibilities
Engineering Analysis & Design

• Contribute to the analysis of information to specify methods, process steps, plant layout, machinery, and equipment required to design or improve manufacturing and materials processes.
• Support continuous improvement of process systems to meet cost and quality targets.
• Assist in the development and execution of feasibility and validation testing for proposed engineering solutions.
• Analyze engineering data and contribute to drafting engineering standards and specifications.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of engineering standards within the organization and across suppliers, contractors, and consultants.

Quality, Inspection & Compliance

• Perform inspections under the guidance of senior engineers to assess:
• Quality of engineering work
• Integrity of existing installations or structures
• Recommend remedial actions to ensure compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Identify deficiencies in existing processes, systems, and procedures.
• Apply established change management processes to address gaps and implement improvements.

Project Execution & Collaboration

• Deliver small- to medium-scale projects in alignment with an established program or project management plan.
• Collaborate across professional teams and organizational boundaries to ensure cohesive, end-to-end support for service users.
• Participate in and contribute to cross-functional engineering and business initiatives.

Documentation & Knowledge Management

• Create and maintain complex technical and/or user documentation to a high standard.
• Maintain proper version control and backup procedures for instant recovery.
• Analyze and report engineering data trends to support informed decision-making

Technical Expertise

• Independently design, implement, and improve engineering solutions.
• Provide technical guidance on:
• Advanced engineering technologies
• Engineering design methods, tools, processes, and software
• Engineering development targets and testing methodologies
• Technical specifications and documentation
• Perform verification, validation, and quality control activities.
• Apply safe systems of work and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Project & Risk Management

• Identify, assess, prioritize, and manage project risks.
• Define and manage project scope, assumptions, and change control activities.
• Measure, track, and report progress against intermediate milestones and final objectives.
• Ensure projects meet cost, time, and quality requirements.
• Support or manage projects with guidance (not constant supervision).

Communication & Leadership

• Communicate clearly and effectively in verbal and written formats.
• Express technical ideas, request actions, and support planning and policy formulation.
• Build and support project team structures, defining roles and responsibilities.
• Contribute to a collaborative team culture aligned to project goals.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related study
