Production Supervisor

Our client has engaged us to assist them in hiring a contract Production Supervisor / Quality Supervisor. Hourly pay range $25
Job Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of 20-25 hourly Quality Inspectors within the General Assembly environment.
• Investigate quality issues and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to determine root cause and implement corrective actions.
• Recommend improvements to processes, equipment, workflow, and employee engagement.
• Develop and maintain quality control and production tracking systems.
• Oversee staffing functions including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and issue resolution.
• Prepare and maintain production reports, personnel documentation, and safety-related records.
• Support safety initiatives, prevent incidents, and conduct investigations as needed.
• Participate in scheduled shutdown periods; role may extend beyond initial assignment.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in business or related field preferred.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred; open to early‑career candidates with leadership potential.
• Supervisory experience in automotive or manufacturing strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel.
• Strong time management, communication, and people‑leadership skills.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control practices, and common production tools/equipment.
• Ability to work onsite with rotating 1st and 2nd shift schedule.
