Low Voltage (LV) EDS Design and Release Engineer

Our client has engaged us to assist them in hiring a contract Low Voltage (LV) EDS Design and Release Engineer. Pay Rate: $36.67

Job Responsibilities

· Design wiring harnesses that meet program cost, weight, quality, performance, and timing targets.
· Utilize best design efficiencies for manufacturing, assembly, and failure‑mode‑avoidance practices.
· Drive commonality of wiring harness designs across multiple vehicle programs and platforms.
· Review pre-production vehicles for potential campaign items and assess warranty impact.
· Participate in vehicle builds and lead resolution of engineering issues (AIMS).
· Lead resolution of warranty issues (GSAR) collaborating with PVT teams and suppliers.
· Work with EDS VRT to develop solutions for high‑impact internal and external issues.
· Develop business cases for engineering changes using data-driven analysis.
· Lead engineering changes from initial concept through production launch.

Job Requirements

· Experience with electrical wiring, including wiring distribution, routing, connectors, and terminals.
· Experience in low-voltage and/or high-voltage wiring harness design.
· Familiarity with CAD tools (e.g., Teamcenter) for reviewing wire routing and harness data.
· Functional knowledge of vehicle electrical or wiring systems.
· Bachelor's degree required.
