Factory Automation Engineer I - Industrial Control Systems and Automation

Our client has engaged us to assist them in hiring a contract Factory Automation Engineer I. Hourly pay range $52.36

3rd shift
6:30pm-5:00am
Monday-Thursday 4-10hr days. Friday overtime is possible but is the exception
40 hours
Metatarsals needed day 1

Job Responsibilities

· Carry out a range of activities under the guidance of more senior colleagues to support the analysis of information and the specification of methods, process steps, plant, machinery, and equipment required to design and improve manufacturing or materials processes.

· Contribute to the development and implementation of feasibility testing for proposed engineering solutions to provide feedback and validate designs.

· Support drafting engineering standards and specifications and assist in evaluating their effectiveness.

· Perform inspections under supervision to evaluate the quality of engineering work or integrity of installations/structures; provide recommendations for remedial actions.

· Coordinate activities of subcontractors and suppliers as a primary point of contact, working within an established contract management plan to deliver required outcomes.

· Identify process, system, and procedural shortcomings and apply established change‑management programs to resolve them.

· Assist others in effectively using knowledge management systems by offering support and guidance.

· Execute product development and engineering activities using established systems to analyze customer needs and deliver product solutions.

· Work within an established project management plan to accomplish assigned engineering goals.

· Develop personal and technical capabilities by participating in training, coaching, assessment, and external professional accreditation activities. Maintain awareness of relevant technology, regulations, and industry best practices.


Job Requirements

· Knowledge of factory automation engineering processes including electrical machine controls design, PLC programming, industrial robotics programming, electrical/product test system design, and PC programming.

· Ability to work on limited‑scope engineering assignments with guidance and within defined engineering procedures.

· Skills in Engineering Technology, Engineering Design, Engineering Development, Requirements Analysis, Engineering Specification & Testing, and Project Schedule Management.

· Understanding of health & safety practices, risk management, costing/budgeting, contract management, and engineering operations support.

· Strong communication, reporting, documentation, and teamwork abilities.

· Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent level in Engineering or related technical discipline.
