Bartech Staffing is proud to partner with a leader in the Automotive Industry who is accepting applications for a Program Manager. As a Program Manager you will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of complex Automated Driving Systems (ADS) programs from concept through production. This is a contractual opportunity, fully onsite, in the Ann Arbor, MI area

Hourly Pay Range $52/hr. - $57/hr. (W2)

Responsibilities

  • Drive end-to-end program planning including scope, objectives, deliverables, and milestone definition for ADS and ADAS features.
  • Develop and maintain detailed program schedules, dashboards, and risk registers to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Manage dependencies across multiple engineering groups (software, systems, validation, hardware).
  • Identify and assess program risks; lead mitigation planning and escalation as needed to protect timing and quality.
  • Lead cross-functional readiness reviews for major milestones (design reviews, integration checkpoints, validation gates).
  • Serve as the primary liaison for engineering teams, product planning, global partners and executive leadership.
  • Translate complex technical issues into clear and actionable program updates for both technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Support senior leadership with KPI reporting, program summaries, and executive-level presentations.
  • Partner with System and Software Engineering to ensure requirements, specifications, and validation plans align with program intent.
  • Manage change control processes, balancing feature evolution, timing constraints, and cost targets.
  • Oversee documentation quality and configuration management in adherence with ASPICE, ISO 26262, and internal governance standards.
  • Define and monitor KPIs including schedule adherence, defect trends, validation coverage, and software maturity.
  • Utilize data analytics to drive improvements in issue closure rates, execution efficiency, and cross-functional communication.
  • Recommend and implement process enhancements, automation opportunities, and tool improvements to streamline operations.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and proactive problem-solving across all partner teams.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of program or project management experience within automotive systems; ADS/ADAS experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven success delivering complex system or software programs compliant with ASPICE and ISO 26262.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple global stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with project management and engineering tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, ADO, Confluence, DOORS).
  • PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
