Engineering Systems Support Analyst
Location: Auburn Hills, MI (Hybrid)
Pay Rate: $60 per hour
Assignment Length: 8-month contract-to-hire
Job Purpose
Seeking a dynamic, results-driven Engineering Systems Support Analyst/Administrator to join the IT Enterprise Engineering team in Auburn Hills, MI. This role supports and maintains enterprise-level engineering systems with a focus on ALM, Simulation, and ECAD technologies while ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Application & Systems Support:
- Provide support for ALM & Simulation applications (installation/configuration).
- Provide secondary support for ECAD applications.
- Support Software Factory development and support model.
- Incident & Service Management:
- Respond to engineering incident and service tickets based on priority.
- Analyze and troubleshoot issues; develop and coordinate solutions with peers.
- Maintain SLAs and manage catalog tasks effectively.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Collaborate with IT teams to manage operational and project requests.
- Assist peers on cross-functional projects as needed.
- Maintain effective communication with peers and end users.
- Track and manage action items and resolutions.
- General Support & Operations:
- Ensure effective technology implementation across functional areas.
- Support enterprise-level engineering systems to ensure stability and continuous improvement.
Education & Experience Requirements
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in IT or 10 years of IT experience in lieu of degree.
- Experience:
- 5+ years in IT application development and large-scale end-user support.
- Experience with ALM (BitBucket, Polarion), Simulation (Altair, ABAQUS, LMS, CHPC & Cloud Visualization, MSC), and ECAD (MentorGraphics) tools.
- Technical Skills:
- Familiar with Software Factory development models (manual, AI-driven, hybrid).
- Functional understanding of workstation and enterprise networking.
- Batch/PowerShell scripting experience preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Windows 11.
- Competency across multiple platforms, operating systems, and databases.
- Understanding of manufacturing and automotive business environments.
- Implements appropriate IT security measures.
