Warehouse Supervisor
Location: Louisville, KY
Duration: Temp/Contract Assignment (3-6 months).
Shift: CREW - 6:00am - 4:30pm M-TH
Pay Rate: $30-35
Overview
The Warehouse Supervisor supports the Materials Manager and team by overseeing shipping, receiving, and inventory operations. This role involves training staff, managing schedules, ensuring accurate records, and maintaining compliance with procedures. The supervisor also provides backup support for absences and assists with day-to-day logistics.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and assign work to shipping and receiving staff.
* Maintain accurate records of goods received, shipped, and stored.
* Schedule and monitor hourly associates, including time and attendance.
* Ensure all procedures and safety protocols are followed.
* Train forklift drivers and staff on shipping/receiving processes.
* Update daily shipping schedules and track inventory using MRP/ERP systems.
* Support physical inventory counts and maintain proper material placement.
* Provide backup coverage for other facilities as needed.
Qualifications
* Minimum 4 years' experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or similar role.
* Associate degree in Management, Business Administration, or related field.
* Advanced skills in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Email, Spreadsheets).
* Experience with material tracking software and data entry.
* Previous supervisory experience required.
* Ability to frequently lift/move up to 35 pounds.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
* Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, and communicate clearly.
* Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crawl.
* Must have close, distance, and color vision.
* Work environment includes exposure to moving mechanical parts, loud noise, and occasional wet/humid conditions.
