Job Title - Chassis Controls Systems Engineer
Hourly pay range: $43.17/hour

Job Responsibilities
Develop chassis control work products to coordinate actions and functions between modules and subsystems to meet vehicle-level and feature attributes.
- Develop and refine feature and system requirements to meet customer, regulatory, and functional safety needs.
- Drive decomposition of system-level requirements to technology requirements across vehicle domains including motion control, propulsion, and infotainment systems.
- Collaborate with Functional Safety engineers to develop and refine feature-level functional safety requirements, item definitions, hazard analysis/risk assessments, and functional safety concepts in compliance with ISO‑26262 and client functional safety processes.
- Utilize Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to evaluate chassis control systems and integrate them with interfacing vehicle systems.
Develop and refine quality documents to ensure robust implementation of requirements such as boundary diagrams, FMEAs, P‑diagrams, and interface matrices.
- Use MBSE to create and evaluate chassis control system boundary diagrams and FMEAs.
Develop design validation methods to ensure feature robustness in all environmental conditions and customer usage scenarios.
- Develop and refine test cases to validate concept‑level, logical‑level, and technology‑level requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement in test coverage and testing techniques, leveraging simulation and prototype vehicle testing to identify and resolve issues early in the development cycle.
- Collaborate with Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop (HIL) and virtual validation teams to establish procedures that reduce dependency on vehicle‑level testing.
- Support real‑world evaluation through vehicle, HIL, and virtual testing to identify system issues.
- Support and coordinate root‑cause analysis with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure the delivered system meets all feature requirements.
Job Requirements
Experience Required
- 4+ years of experience in systems engineering, including:
- System V functional decomposition
- Design analysis
- Concept, logical, and technology-level requirements development
- System integration
- FMA (Failure Mode Avoidance) analysis
Experience Preferred
- Experience in chassis systems including steering, brakes, or suspension
- Experience with SysML / MagicDraw
- Hands‑on troubleshooting with electromechanical systems
- Knowledge of Functional Safety (ISO 26262) and Failure Mode Avoidance
- Familiarity with feature systems processes
- Verification proficiency (e.g., design validation methods, data acquisition/analysis, HIL testing, etc.)
