Data Engineer - Contract Role
Pay Rate: $77.67/hour

Hourly pay range: $77.67/hour
Job Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement components to migrate data from legacy platforms into SAP ERP platforms.
- Define development and testing templates/methods for extracting data from various sources, with strong emphasis on PeopleSoft, BAAN, and Infor LN.
- Evaluate and select tools and technologies for data extraction and cleansing.
- Write programs/scripts to automate data extraction, cleansing, transformation, and loading.
- Identify and resolve data duplication issues and participate in governance activities to prevent recurrence.
- Create and maintain data mapping documentation for mapping source attributes to business partner data.
- Monitor ongoing data quality issues and refine rules/checks as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, technology groups, and architecture groups to implement data-centric solutions.
- Document processes, methodologies, and best practices related to data extraction and cleansing.
- Continuously improve data management processes and ensure data accuracy.
Job Requirements
- 4+ years of overall technology experience, including at least 3+ years of hands‑on software development, data engineering, and system architecture.
- Experience deploying modern data solutions such as Azure Functions, Azure Data Factory, or AWS Glue.
- Experience with data migration platforms such as Syniti or DataStage.
- Experience with at least one data quality tool (e.g., Informatica Data Quality, Talend DQ, Ataccama).
- Experience with SAP ERP implementations (one or two) and hands-on experience with SAP HANA.
- Strong proficiency in Python, Spark, PySpark, PLSQL, Pandas, or similar tools.
- Hands-on experience with Syniti, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, ADLS, AWS Glue, and other AWS data services.
- Thorough understanding of data quality, master data management, and ETL/ELT operations.
- Experience developing and maintaining data quality dashboards and issue trackers.
- Strong background in data analysis, planning, and executing complex data cleansing and conversions.
- Ability to develop and analyze reports using SQL, Excel, Access, SQL Loader, etc.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Familiarity with data visualization, data warehousing processes, and data governance best practices.
