Production Supervisor - Dubuque, IA

Hourly pay range: $44.59
Location: Dubuque, Iowa

Job Responsibilities

· Achieve departmental and area goals related to delivery, quality, safety, and cost.
· Supervise semi‑skilled to highly skilled production and/or maintenance employees on an assigned shift.
· Serve as first-line liaison between production employees and management, representing company interests on the shop floor.
· Establish a positive employee environment with effective communication, feedback, and guidance.
· Ensure assigned personnel receive appropriate training, work instructions, and tools.
· Monitor Control Plans and troubleshoot workmanship issues to ensure product quality.
· Administer employee policies, procedures, practices, and work rules.
· Monitor individual and line performance; take corrective action or discipline as needed.
· Address employee complaints to ensure adherence to company policies and work rules.
· Determine production priorities and assign work daily, including filling vacancies and assigning overtime.
· Plan equipment and facility maintenance to maximize uptime and asset utilization.
· Monitor department operating budget and make corrections to stay within targets.
· Lead and direct continuous improvement activities.
· Implement and monitor safety programs and uphold housekeeping standards.

Job Requirements

· Prior experience supervising production, manufacturing, or maintenance teams.
· Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, quality standards, and safety practices.
· Ability to administer policies and handle disciplinary actions when necessary.
· Strong communication and leadership skills to guide employees effectively.
· Ability to analyze performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements.
· Experience organizing workload according to production schedules and priorities.
· Proven ability to support continuous improvement activities and drive operational excellence.
