Warehouse Supervisor

Job Responsibilities:
Pay rate: $40.00 - $42.00 hr.
- Counsel and support hourly employees with workplace needs and concerns.
- Address employee performance by reinforcing positive behaviors and correcting negative behaviors.
- Utilize the Quality Network problem‑solving process to identify improvement opportunities and engage employees for ideas.
- Apply Workplace Organization (WPO) principles to optimize layouts and improve efficiency.
- Perform daily Timekeeping System (TKS) updates to ensure accurate payroll processing.
- Document problem‑solving activities using the A‑3 reporting format while following local A‑3 guidelines.
- Lead daily meetings to communicate business performance and facilitate two‑way communication with employees.
- Conduct and document weekly safety observation tours across assigned departments.
- Plan daily workloads in advance to support operational needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maximize shift performance.
- Ensure compliance with national and local contractual requirements.
- Enforce shop rules and maintain consistent standards.
- Conduct daily Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) audit checks.
- Actively develop skills through the Individual Development Plan (IDP) process.
- Keep the General Supervisor and Shop Committee informed of ongoing and upcoming activities.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures.
- Basic math skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Understanding of fundamental technologies used in assigned work areas.
- Familiarity with scheduling systems and other operational management tools.
- Strong analytical abilities to solve complex problems.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate, influence, and effectively collaborate with employees.
- Knowledge of quality control processes and standards.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma required.
- Completion of 1-2 years of technical or business school training preferred.
- Skilled trades training or equivalent technical background strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of relevant experience preferred.
