💲 Pay Rate: $45-52/hour (depending on experience)

Position Overview
We are seeking a Calibration Engineer to support engine calibration activities focused on meeting regulatory requirements and performance targets. This role offers hands‑on experience with vehicle testing, data analysis, and calibration development across a variety of operating conditions. The ideal candidate is technically strong, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, collaborative engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform engine calibration in accordance with established procedures to meet emissions, fuel economy, power, drivability, and OBD requirements
  • Plan, prepare, and manage calibration schedules and resources to meet development timelines
  • Conduct test preparation, data collection, analysis, and create technical reports on a regular basis
  • Collaborate closely with calibration technicians to ensure efficient testing and development execution
  • Perform vehicle testing under extreme environmental conditions, including hot, cold, and high‑altitude environments
  • Execute software logic and value confirmation activities
  • Complete required internal training to support job execution (technical, driving, safety, etc.)


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
  • 1-3+ years of experience in OBD calibration
  • Excellent driving record
  • Strong understanding of internal combustion engine theory and practice
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Proven ability to investigate technical issues and develop effective technical solutions


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with emissions, bench, drivability, or OBD calibration for conventional and/or hybrid powertrains
  • Calibration experience supporting non‑US markets (e.g., Japan, Europe, China)
  • Understanding of emissions and OBD regulations for US and global markets
  • Experience with Model‑Based Design and calibration processes
  • Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink, C/C++, and familiarity with other programming languages such as Python or VBA
  • Experience using project management tools
  • Ability to work effectively in a culturally diverse, global engineering environment
