Hourly pay range: $42-$44/hour
Location: Onsite (manufacturing facility)
Shifts: Rotating between 1st Shift (5:30AM-3:30PM) and 2nd Shift (3:30PM-12:30AM)
Assignment Duration: 52 weeks
Overtime: Approx. 20 hrs/week; varies; possible weekends
Travel: None
Start Date: ASAP
Physical Requirement: FFW

Job Responsibilities
- Directly supervise electrical and mechanical skilled trades within the General Assembly Department.
- Lead skilled hourly workers to troubleshoot and repair complex equipment and processes.
- Apply and enforce National and Local UAW Agreements.
- Respond to the daily manufacturing plan and adjust operations as needed.
- Manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
- Hold team members accountable and engage in performance-based discussions when necessary.
- Conduct inspections, testing, and communicate findings.
- Identify and implement solutions to operational or technical issues.
- Perform preventative maintenance and diagnose equipment malfunctions.
- Maintain productivity and quality according to organizational standards.
- Implement corporate policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices.
- Collaborate frequently with cross-functional teams.
- Oversee efficient use of labor, machinery, and inventory.
- Establish and execute plans to complete jobs and projects.
- Support and maintain advanced automation, conveyance, and robotic equipment.
- Supervise approximately 16 skilled trades employees in a high‑automation environment.
Job Requirements
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma.
- 5+ years of manufacturing experience in high-volume, hands-on production environments.
- Experience with automation and conveyance systems.
- Prior experience supervising or leading skilled trades or technicians.
- Ability to read electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic blueprints.
- Strong problem-solving skills; able to thrive in fast-paced operations.
- Experience managing conflict and making informed decisions.
- Background addressing performance concerns.
- Basic computer proficiency (Word, email, typing).
- Willingness to work rotating shifts and mandatory overtime.
- Mechanically inclined.
Top 3 Must‑Have Skills (Ranked):
- 5+ years manufacturing experience
- Automation & conveyance system experience
- Supervision experience of skilled trades
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Robotics or automation systems experience (bonus).
- Ability to manage multiple projects.
- High integrity; self‑directed; comfortable with ambiguity.
- Experience working in union environments.
- Knowledge of timekeeping systems.
- Strong communication skills with high energy and motivation.
