Shift-Flexible Production Supervisor

Our client has engaged us to assist them in hiring a contract-to-hire Shift-Flexible Production Supervisor in Perrysburg, OH. Hourly pay range $60 - $70+/hr.
Job Overview:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for delivering the daily production plan while achieving the highest standards of Safety, Quality, Cost, and Environmental performance. This role leads hourly teams and team leaders, drives continuous improvement, develops employee capability, and maintains a positive labor environment. The supervisor mobilizes support resources as needed and leads structured problem solving for issues within their area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute the daily production program and staffing plan to meet throughput and delivery requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all safety policies; respond to injuries/safety matters and coordinate with medical as needed.
- Maintain product/process quality standards; escalate and contain quality issues.
- Drive continuous improvement (Lean/CI) in safety, quality, cost, delivery, and morale.
- Develop and coach team leaders and hourly employees; build autonomy and skills across the team.
- Maintain a positive social climate in a union manufacturing environment.
- Lead and assist with problem solving for downtime, delays, breakdowns, and other disruptions outside normal scope.
- Coordinate with management and support groups to ensure proper and timely material flow and resource allocation.
- Respond to environmental incidents (e.g., spills) by contacting the Incident Commander and Security per site process.
- Utilize multiple systems and publish shift notes to ensure effective handoff between shifts.

- Manufacturing experience required; automotive manufacturing experience is preferred. Note, primary customers are assembly plants supported by this facility.
- Leadership background and people management are a big plus (ideally 2+ years); entry-level candidates may be considered.
- Manufacturing or automotive manufacturing experience in a union shop preferred.
- Must be shift-flexible to work all shifts
