PVT Body Interior Engineer

Bartech Staffing is proud to partner with a global Automotive client who is accepting applications for a PVT Body Interior Engineer in the Kansas City, MO area.

As a PVT Body Interior Engineer, you will provide hands-on, onsite product development and launch support, serving as the first line of defense for interior system quality and build issues. The ideal candidate is a technically curious engineer who enjoys troubleshooting, working directly in a plant environment, and collaborating cross-functionally to improve first-time-through (FTT) performance and overall vehicle quality.

Hourly Rate Range: $41 - $42 per hour (W2)

Responsibilities

• Own and resolve engineering and quality issues related to Body Interior systems, including:
  • Interior trim
  • Instrument panel (IP)
  • Seats
  • Console
  • Headliner
  • NVH components
  • Carpet and interior subsystems
• Provide on-site launch and plant support to troubleshoot production issues and drive FTT improvements
• Lead root cause investigations and implement:
• Interim Corrective Actions (ICA)
• Permanent Corrective/Preventive Actions (PCA)
• Perform data analysis using Excel and other tools to identify trends and support fact-based solutions
• Support validation testing, DVPR issue tracking, and release activities
• Collaborate closely with:
  • Design engineering
  • Manufacturing
  • Quality
  • Suppliers and cross-functional teams
  • Support quality systems and documentation, including:
  • DFMEA
  • PFMEA
  • Control Plans

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or equivalent engineering experience

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work effectively in a plant / manufacturing environment
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
