Spare Parts Coordinator
Location: Kansas City, KS
Facility: Large-scale stamping operation supporting multiple automotive plants
Shift: Daily Schedule/Shift 1st shift: 6:30AM - 3PM
Pay Rate: $40-45/HR
Duration: Long Term contract (W2)
Role Overview
The Spare Parts Coordinator supports a high-volume stamping operation by ensuring all critical spare parts are properly stocked, organized, and readily available to maintain press line readiness. This role is heavily focused on spare parts management and organization, not production or breakdown support.
The position partners closely with maintenance leadership, controls engineers, and skilled trades to support efficient press operations across multiple vehicle programs.
Business Group & Team Environment
- Part of a Stamping Department supporting one primary plant and multiple additional truck plants
- Facility operates 3 press lines, running 3 shifts, 5 days per week
- Team size: approximately 15-18 team members
- Press lines support 6-8 different vehicle models
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and organize spare parts inventory to support press line operations
- Ensure spare parts are properly labeled, stored, and placed in designated cabinets
- Coordinate with Maintenance Group Leaders, Controls Engineers, and Skilled Trades employees
- Maintain accurate awareness of spare parts availability and readiness
- Help implement and sustain an organized spare parts system to minimize downtime
- Support maintenance teams by ensuring parts accessibility-not hands-on repair or production support
Note: This is not a production or breakdown support role. The focus is strictly on spare parts coordination and organization.

- Daily interaction with maintenance and engineering personnel
- Hands-on involvement with inventory management and organization
- Manufacturing / plant-floor environment
- Onsite role (no remote option)
- Standard shift aligned to plant operations
Contract Details & Outlook
- Contract role with a strong likelihood of extension
- Opportunity to remain long-term based on business needs
- Participation in shutdown days follows contract worker guidelines (as applicable)

Candidate Qualifications
Education
- Associate Degree preferred, ideally with a maintenance or technical focus
- Candidates without a degree will be considered if they have strong, relevant maintenance experience
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in a maintenance, manufacturing, or industrial environment
Top Required Skills (Ranked)
- Maintenance background in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Spare parts management or inventory coordination experience
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to interface with multiple groups
