Hourly Pay Range
$46-47 per hour
Work Schedule
1st shift, 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM (8 hours; flexible start/end)
Hybrid schedule (onsite Tuesday-Thursday)
Location: Warren, MI
Job Responsibilities
- Perform Design Release Engineering (DRE) for automotive electrical module components
- Lead engineering investigations, root‑cause analysis, and resolution of field, warranty, and DTC issues
- Analyze warranty and diagnostic data to drive corrective actions and improve product quality
- Create, update, and improve service instructions and technical documentation
- Develop and maintain Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and subsystem/component technical specifications (SSTS/CTS)
- Lead resolution of technical issues and document progress in problem‑tracking systems
- Work cross‑functionally with validation, manufacturing, sourcing, and plant teams
- Coordinate and provide technical direction to suppliers and supplier resident engineers
- Support sourcing activities, validation efforts, and continuous improvement initiatives
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Math, or Computer Science
- 2+ years of relevant engineering experience
- Foundational understanding of automotive electrical hardware and embedded controllers
- Knowledge of vehicle serial data communications (CAN/LIN)
- Experience with engineering investigations, failure modes, and problem solving
- Ability to analyze data (warranty, test, field data) and clearly communicate findings
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Export compliance authorization required
- Must be 21 years of age or older (limited driving required)
